| "We are the middle children of history, raised by television to believe that someday we'll be millionaires and movie stars and rock stars, but we won't. And we're just learning this fact. So don't fuck with us." --Tyler Durden from Chuck Palahniuk's Fight Club. You're raised to believe that someday you're going to have a nice life. You're going to do well in school and get all kinds of scholarships and party in college for a few years, then get a nice easy job so you can buy your big screen TVs and two-story house with a yard and a pool, and your two hundred dollar jeans and your BMW and get a manicure every Wednesday and all the money you have will be your cushion and nothing will ever happen to you. And you've worked hard for this. You've studied for SATs and saved money for a half-working car. And now you're being introduced to the real world. And you've discovered taxes. It's life. I'm not very happy with it. But this blog isn't here for me to complain about it. This blog is here for me to change it. Of course, a blog is nothing but a diary without readers. So this blog is here to help you change what you don't like, too. So what don't you like? |
